GREAT location just west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. This small mountain community is surrounded by mountains and cannot grow and become commercialized which is happening to a lot of mountain towns. Stocked lake, two waterfalls, many hiking trails within walking distance.
Exceptional 360 degree views of Rampart Range Mountains to the Northeast just across Ute Pass in front of the house. Steep mountains off the base of Pikes Peak and national forest to the Southwest behind the house. House sits at the end of the road so very little traffic. Most homes on this road are still owned by the grandchildren of the people who built them in the early 1900s. The neighbors are mostly summer residents and are the best people you would ever meet.

The home needs work and would love to have a handyman own it. One kitten does not want to move and possibly could be included; she actually does own the house. Deer, foxes, and raccoons are abundant. Bears come out at night (don't leave any food wrappers in your car... just a suggestion). Hiking trails start at the end of the road where this home is located. You will not find another mountain home within such a short drive of Colorado Springs that has this view for this price. We would never sell unless we had to and have lived here 22 years.
