Property Description

We live in Highleah Townhouses on 23rd Street a couple blocks east of 291 hwy (right next door to Bridger Middle School) in Independence. The co-op situation is this... you pay for a membership to the co-op and your rent is very low. When we moved in it cost us approx. $6000 and our rent is $378. Each month your membership appreciates in value by approx. $17. So, today we can sell our membership for approx. $6700. If you make any improvements to your unit (upgrade flooring, upgrade light fixtures, paint, etc.) can also charge the membership buyer for those, if you choose. My husband and I are looking to buy a house and want to move from Highleah quickly to take advantage of the good buyers market. We are willing to sell our membership for $3000. The water, sewer, and trash service fees are included in the monthly rent charge. The gas and electric bills run us approx. $70 each per month, we are on a level payment plan. Our townhouse is three levels. You enter into the living room and the kitchen is also on the main floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There is a basement where we have storage, laundry, and we have created a third bedroom. The living room, stairs, and upstairs bedrooms are all hardwood. The kitchen and bath are vinyl. The dementsions of the rooms are Living Room 14' x 12', Kitchen 15'4" x 11'1", Master Bedroom 12'0 x 11'1", Bedroom 15'4" x 9'. The townhouses are very nice and well taken care of by the maintenance here at Highleah. Highleah requires that we paint all of the walls back to white unless the new owner likes the color in which we can put a fresh coat of the current color on the walls. I think the kitchen looks a bit cramped in the photo I have attached. But, keep in mind that none of the furniture stays so the only thing left in the kitchen will be the cabinets, refrigerator, and stove. It is also a very safe neighborhood with undercover police doing security checks several times per day. If you are interested or have questions please email or call me. I have more pictures than what you see here. If you are interested I can email them to you.
