Built in early 1900, the Townhouse (1 of only 5 similarly/attached houses on the block) is located on 141 st Street between Hamilton Terrace Street and St. Nicholas Ave. Adding to the historic splendor of the block is the Hamilton Grange House, which sits inside St. Nicholas Park and located directly across the street from the Townhouse.

Currently undergoing restoration, the Hamilton Grange House is the only National Monument to former Secretary of State Alexander Hamilton and was recently visited by former First Lady Laura Bush. The 3rd & 4th floors of the Townhouse also has a panaramic view of the City College of New York, overlooking the campus Castle and surrounding area. The Townhouse is a part of the Hamilton Grange Home Association. Hosting such speakers as the local Police Chief, Fire Chief and Politicians, the Home Association membership consists of Doctors, Lawyers, CEO's, TV Personalities, etc. The Townhouse was renovated from a 1 family to a 4 family in 2004.
