is the county seat of Van Buren County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 2,283 at the 2000 census. The city was named for DeWitt Clinton, the New York governor who built the Erie Canal; he previously was also a U.S. Senator from New York. Clinton is located at (35.586410, -92.457736).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.6 square miles (30.0 km²), of which, 11.4 square miles (29.5 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²) of it (1.64%) is water.
