We bought this property a little over two years ago; it was a bit distressed, but held a great deal of promise (four bedrooms, three baths, two fireplaces, large formal living area, formal dining room, kitchen with large eating area, large entertainment room, two car garage, utility room). The former owners had added hardwood flooring to the living and dining area, but otherwise, the house was worn and worse. Since then, we have completely remodelled the house throughout:
- two of the three bathrooms have been completely rebuilt, the other has been remodeled; new tub, shower, sinks, Venetian plaster, Roman-style tiles - no expense spared.
- all carpets throughout the house have been replaced with new wall-to-wall; the living/dining/kitchen area remains hardwood floor (3 years old)

- the yard area has been completely re-landscaped; new walkways front and back, many trees removed and considerable planting (in the second of three year plan).
Unfortunately, our household size has sunk by half recently and we no longer need four bedrooms, three baths and nearly 2800 square feet. Our loss is your gain though; this house is ready to be someone's dream home. You need to see this home in Guilford - great schools and a lively community.
Oh, by the way, this home comes with lake rights - nice swimming, wading, fishing, canoeing - your kids will love this.
