A short distance to I-75, The Oaks Mall, University of Florida, Cedar Key, St. Augustine and Points North. The house is situated in the Buckingham South area just bordering Gainesville's south west sector and north west. Densely populated with oak, pine and various other trees. This is a quiet neighborhood buffered by the many trees from traffic from Newberry and Tower Roads. A little bit of country just a few feet outside the city limits. The area is very well endowed with eating establishments. Yet, just a short distance away is Archer Road with many of the franchised restaurants. Summers are hot as most any state in the south would be but the screened in pool will cool you down. The back yard has a 6 foot wood stackade fence surrounding. The pool and lawn are serviced and kept in great shape, so you can swim. While concern for a hurricane is a necessary evil in Florida, Gainesville stays pretty safe from any onslaught being that it is in the center of the state. Winter brings some foliage change with leaves falling. Cool mornings can have you searching for a long sleeve jacket. As for myself, throwing a few logs in the fireplace at any time during the winter months is a glorious moment to watch.Doing daily or routine walking in the area is very pleasant. No dogs to worry about as neighbors are considerate and the traffic is slowed as drivers give way to hikers. You'll meet others walking dogs on leases and just others doing their own thing. People have been very friendly with courteous hand waves and an occasional stop for a chitchat. One last secret, this house is located thusly in a depression of land with trees giving the protection from severe cold winds. http://www.linebylineproductions.com/Gainesville/Gainesville.htm
