We love this house. It is elegant, yet simple. One of my favorite things about this house is the beauty that is everywhere. Warm knotty pine floors are constantly lit with the light of the day, or the night. Early in the morning, I can be found on the Lani with my morning coffee and a blanket. Tweeting birds, silent, majestic birds, jumping fish, dolphin and sensual breezes bathe your soul. The air is so fresh you just want to swim in it. There are currents in the water that converge just behind us, which causes a swirling and twirling that catches the sun s light a million ways. Sometimes the silence is so amazing, you can t know it until you experience it.
The morning sunrises are amazing. In every moment there are new colors to explore. The water loses it s distinction from the sky. The clouds take on persona. This is a place of peace and tranquility. With the right music, you can create your own paradise. It is heaven on earth.
The sunsets have amazing, sometimes unidentifiable colors; I ve been told Carl Hyacinth wrote about the rare colors of sunset along the Ocholocknee Bay. Pelicans seeking a roost, mullet jumping out loud and trails of ever changing clouds parade themselves before the day s ending.
The bedrooms are spacious and have a nice flow. Our master bed room is expansive with a vaulted ceiling and spacious master bath. Off of the master suite, we have a balcony that is high enough to give you a bird s eye-view of everything, literally. Star gazing, sunning, meditating, socializing, sleeping, these are just some of the things we ve done on the balcony. On the other side of the Master Suite is a small, attic-loft bedroom. This is great for children needing to sleep close to Mom and Dad (or the G s).
The kitchen is designed so that no one is isolated. It is completely open to the living room, separated by a bar that seats four and has a panoramic view of the bay and Gulf of Mexico. There are plenty of windows throughout the house. The ceilings are 12ft high, which gives a really spacious feeling to each room.
Trade Winds Subdivision is a quiet, out of the way area located on Mash Island. On our island, wild life, birds and a few people live together in harmony, most of the time.
