250% Growth in online research when buying real estate

If you are selling your home, you simply must list it online - according to Google and NAR.

In a collaborative effort to document real estate trends, the two teamed up to find out what home buyers are doing to find their new home. The findings are staggering in that real estate related searches have grown 253% in the last 4 years[1] and that 90% of buyers search online[2]. This may not be surprising since it seems everything is online these days but the message is clear - if you are selling your home, especially for sale by owner, you need to put it online.

How can you do this? Websites like Owners.com specialize in using technology and real estate expertise to expose your home to a broad range of potential buyers where they are searching. A single listing there can be distributed across the web to sites such as Realtor.com®, Zillow®, Yahoo! Homes, Craigslist and dozens of other popular agent and for sale by owner real estate websites.

Also, 89% of these home shoppers are using mobile devices during their search[3]. When those buyers are out and about, how will they know your home is for sale? A yard sign? Maybe. A newspaper? Maybe. More likely they will be looking for homes near them on their mobile device. Help them find you by showing up when they search.
