is a city in Decatur County, Georgia, United States. The town was named after U.S. Navy Commodore William Bainbridge. The population was 11,722 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Decatur County.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 18.9 square miles (48.9 km²), of which, 17.7 square miles (45.9 km²) of it is land and 1.2 square miles (3.0 km²) of it (6.15%) is water.
