is a census-designated place (CDP) in Columbia County, Georgia, United States. It is an affluent suburb of Augusta, Georgia and is part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area. The population was 17,727 at the 2000 census and, in 2006, the population was 20,681.
Evans, possibly named after Confederate General Clement A. Evans, is the
designation. The Columbia County Government Center, the Government Complex Addition, and the Columbia County Courthouse Annex are all located in Evans.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 10.0 square miles (25.9 km²), of which, 9.9 square miles (25.7 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (0.70%) is water.
