Why do you use my paid listing page to display advertisements?
Our goal is to bring Sellers and Buyers together to complete a For Sale By Owner transaction. As part of this, we realize that the process can be very daunting. By providing a framework for each and every step - from mortgages to real estate forms - we hope that our carefully selected offers will take the guesswork out the FSBO process. When looking at your home listing online, buyers will see your property first. Hopefully, if they are interested, they'll also see that all the tools they need to proceed through the transaction are readily available, and that will provide them with the confidence to make an offer.
Why aren't I receiving emails from interested buyers at my email address?
Please make sure that your email program is allowing mail from ownersweb@owners.com. Some email programs with spam protection will block email from unknown senders or require human verification.

What is the procedure for getting my Virtual Tour?
After ordering the virtual tour, you will be contacted by a photographer in your area within 3-5 business days to schedule the tour at a convenient time. Within 2-3 days of the footage being shot, the link to your tour will be posted automatically to your listing. The link is found directly underneath the photographs of your property.
If your property is out of our coverage area, our customer care team will contact you by email and issue you a refund.
Please email us with your Listing ID if you experience a problem scheduling your virtual tour.
How do I add photographs to my listing?
We have three options to you:
- Through "My Account". If you have digital photos, log in to "My Account" with your Username and Password and click on "Edit Photos".
Uploaded photos must be in .JPG (jpeg) format and under 2MB in size. For each photo that you have, click on "Browse" to find the .jpg file on your computer, and then click "Upload Image". You will see thumbnails or small versions of your pictures you have selected. You may add a 32 character caption for each photograph. You may change the order of your photos by clicking "Move Up" or "Move Down" and select the first photo to appear by clicking "Set as Primary Image". We suggest putting a picture of the front of your property first.
If you haven't yet already paid for the pictures, you will be asked for your payment information. Complete the form entirely and click "Submit".
- EMAIL. If you have digital photos, you can include them as attachments in an email addressed to photos@owners.com . We ask that your Listing ID is in the subject of the email and that the photos are either formatted as .JPG (jpeg). Files must be under 2MB.
- POSTAL MAIL. You can send originals to our corporate office where we will scan and add them to your listing for no extra charge. Please make sure that your Listing ID is included with the photos. If you would like the originals returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

I'm having difficulty uploading my digital pictures.
First, check that all of your photos are .jpg (jpeg) files (ex: exterior.jpg) and under approximately 2MB. You can right-mouse-click on the picture file on your computer and select "Properties" to see file size. Any photo editing software can be used to adjust the picture size.
If you have uploaded your pictures, but don't see them on your listing, hit the "Refresh" button on your browser.
How long will it take for my photo(s) to be posted on my listing?
Photos that you have uploaded yourself will be posted immediately. If you have emailed them to us or mailed them by post, we will process them within two business days of receiving them.
How do I view the photo(s) in my listing?
There are two options for viewing your listing's photo(s):
- To view photo(s) from your Owners.com Account: Log in to "My Account" by entering your Username and Password. Click on the "View Listing" option to see your photos.
-
To view your photo(s) the same way a buyer would, search for your property by zip code or by listing ID.
If your listing includes more than one photo, simply click on the "previous" and "next" links beneath the picture.
How do I change the photos on my listing?
Log in to your account with your username and password and click "edit photos". Find the picture(s) you would like removed and click "delete". If you would like another photo in its place, simply "browse" for the new file and click "upload image".
When I click on the virtual tour link, only a blank white box appears. What's wrong?
You may have a popup or advertising blocker on your computer preventing the window from opening properly. Try holding your SHIFT key down on your keyboard while clicking on the virtual tour link, or disable your popup blocker while on the Owners.com site.
What is "Upload a Home Video"?
A video is a chance to user your most effective and informed sales tool...you!
Home Video, Owners.com newest and most exciting listing product allows you to upload your own video of your property to your listing. And the process couldn't be easier! Simply record, load onto your computer and upload to Owners.com.
Here are a few tips to help you create an effective video:
- Make a list of everything you like best about your home and pick the top five to highlight.
- Clear off your tabletops and open your window shades to capture your home in the best possible light.
- Remember to show every room, and any special features like extra storage, hardwood floors or intricate tile work that can be over looked in a photo.
- Add a brief narration to guide buyers during your walkthrough; you can even say things to help the buyer imagine themselves in your home.
What is the difference between a home video and a virtual tour?
A virtual tour involves a professional photographer coming to your property to take video. That footage is then professionally compiled and automatically loaded onto your listing.
A home video is one that you record yourself, with your own camera. Typically, a seller walks through their home, narrating as they go. Then, you upload the video file to your listing through your account.
Why decide between the two when you can have both?!

How do I search for a home?
Select the "Find a Home" tab on our top navigation bar. Or, click here. You may enter in a listing ID, if you are looking for a specific property. Or, you may enter your desired criteria such as price, zip code, etc.
This will bring up a list of properties which meet your criteria. For more information on one of these properties, click on the listing directly. You'll then see property details and contact information for the seller, if available.
Why don't some listings contain all of the necessary property details like number of bedrooms or bathrooms? Why are some missing seller contact information?
Unfortunately, we have little control over how much or how little information a seller chooses to give on his or her property. While we encourage sellers to include as many details as possible, some choose to list only the minimum amount of information.
