Update
, or Marion, is an unincorporated community in Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is located at the northern intersection of Maryland Route 413 and Maryland Route 667.
Marion Station was once known as Coulbourne Creek, until the Eastern Shore Railroad was brought to Crisfield. When it came through, a train station was built in the town, and the town was renamed Marion, after the daughter of the man who saw the train station built. Marion became the world's leader in strawberry production. Nowadays, however, the town has all but died off, many of the old buildings torn down or vacant.
Marion Station is home to a school (not currently in use), a post office, and a volunteer fire department.
Two main roads go through Marion Station. One is Maryland Route 667, which snakes through the town and was once the town's old Main Street. MD 667 also links the town to Pocomoke and US Route 13 southbound to Virginia. The other is Maryland Route 413, the main highway between Crisfield and points north on US 13. Also notable is Tull's Corner Road and Charles Cannon Road, intersecting both MD 413 and MD 667 and, together, were once MD 357.
Marion Station is also served by the commuter bus service of the lower Eastern Shore, Shore Transit . Two routes serve the community:
The bus is accessible from two stops within the area: Marion Volunteer Fire Department and the former Marion Sarah Peyton Elementary School.
