is a Francophone town in Aroostook County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,225 at the 2000 census: 80 percent are habitual speakers of French, aided by its proximity to French-speaking Québec and New Brunswick in Canada.
The town is home to the general aviation airport Northern Aroostook Regional Airport.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 29.2 square miles (75.7 km²), of which, 28.6 square miles (74.0 km²) of it is land and 0.6 square miles (1.7 km²) of it (2.19%) is water. The town lies on the south bank of the Saint John River, which forms the international boundary between Maine and New Brunswick, Canada.
