is a town in Somerset County, Maine, United States. The population was 785 at the 2000 census. The town was given to the residents of Falmouth (now Portland, Maine) by the Massachusetts legislature to repay them for their loss when the British fleet burned Falmouth in 1775.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 43.8 square miles (113.4 km²), of which, 43.4 square miles (112.5 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²) of it (0.80%) is water.
