is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine, United States. The population was 4,486 at the 2000 census. It is included in both the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine Metropolitan New England City and Town Area. The town was formerly known as Webster, and changed its name to Sabattus in 1971, in honor of a former Anasagunticook Indian chief.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 26.8 square miles (69.3 km²), of which, 25.6 square miles (66.4 km²) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.9 km²) of it (4.15%) is water.
