is a city in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,903 at the 2000 census. The town is named after Edward Canby, a General in the United States Army. Canby is also well-known for High School wrestling. Canby High School won the Minnesota State Team Championship in 1976, 1977, 1979, 1986, 1988, 1994, 1995, 2006.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.6 km²), of which, 2.2 square miles (5.6 km²) of it is land and 0.46% is water.
U.S. Route 75 and Minnesota State Highway 68 are two of the main routes in the city. Minnesota State Highway 67 is in close proximity to the city.
