is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. It is a first ring southern suburb of the Twin Cities. The population was 11,434 at the 2000 census. Henry Sibley High School, Convent of the Visitation, the only all girls high school in the state, and Saint Thomas Academy all boys school are located here. Mendota Heights is also home to the main campus of Brown College. It is one of the wealthiest cities in America; it ranks 54th on the list of highest-income places in the United States with a population of over 10,000.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.1 square miles (26.1 km²), of which, 9.4 square miles (24.2 km²) of it is land and 0.7 square miles (1.8 km²) of it (7.05%) is water.
Interstate Highway 35E, Interstate Highway 494, Minnesota Highways 55 and 110 are four of the main routes in the city.
