is a city in Union County, Mississippi, United States. New Albany is northwest of the much larger city of Tupelo. The population was 7,607 at the 2000 census. New Albany is the county seat of Union County.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 17.1 square miles (44.3 km²), of which, 17.0 square miles (44.2 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (0.35%) is water.
