The CDP is composed of the two hamlets of Mineville and Witherbee. They are located in the northern part of Moriah, northwest of Port Henry.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.4 square miles (11.5 km²), of which, 4.4 square miles (11.5 km²) of it is land and 0.22% is water.

The CDP is located mostly between County Roads 7 and 70 at the junction of County Road 6.
