is a village in Licking County, Ohio, United States, founded by settlers from Granville, Massachusetts, a town of which it now has three times the population. The population was 3,167 at the 2000 census. Granville is the location of the Alligator Mound, which may be an effigy of the underwater panther of Native American mythology. The Buxton Inn and the Granville Inn have been part of the village for many decades, and are still revered today. Also, the village is home to Denison University and The Homestead at Denison University, one of a few intentional communities in the world focusing on environmental sustainability.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.0 square miles (10.4 km²), all of it land.
