is a city in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 7,158 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of McCurtain County. The town is located in a cultural area of the state known as Little Dixie and the tourist area Kiamichi Country.
The city was first named Pernell, then renamed for the wife of a Missouri Kansas Texas Railroad executive and engineer, John Randolph Dillon who, as a result of his work, was given the prize of re-naming the town. His wife's maiden name was Idabel Rinehart. A ceremony was held for the renaming of the town.
