is a town in Washington County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 26,326 at the 2000 census. The famous American portraitist Gilbert Stuart was born in the village of Saunderstown, located in the southern region of North Kingstown.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 58.3 mi² (151.1 km²). 43.6 mi² (112.9 km²) of it is land and 14.8 mi² (38.2 km²) of it (25.28%) is water.
