It's time to move... and sadly, we must say 'goodbye' to our little home in Northeast Columbia...This home was already beautiful when we bought it nearly 6 years ago, but we've made a few additions to really make it sparkle...
First off, don't let the address fool you, our house is about 2 miles behind the Sandhills shopping center in the Briarcliffe community of NE Columbia. We are still in Richland county, but fall on the outskirts of the Elgin town limits. It's a short 5 minute trip to the Sandhill Movie Theather and Shopping Area. It's only 10 minutes to the Two Notch Rd. commercial hub. It typically takes me 8 minutes to get to I-20.Our family of four has had no problem in the spacious 1,600+ ft home.
There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has it's own vanity (outside the master bathroom) and it's own walk-in closet. The master bathroom has lots of room to get ready and a nice jet tub for relaxation. We've recently installed hardwood floors in the kitchen and added rollers to the bottom cabinets so they easily glide out. The countertops were recently redone as well.
ALL of the rooms, as well as for the front porch, have be recently repainted (within the last month). In 2007, we ended up tearing down the back deck and rebuilding it completely (which added 10' more). In 2009, we ended up building a screened-in porch on one side of the deck to help beat the heat and enjoy our backyard more. About a 12' by 12' section of the deck is completely enclosed, allowing us to sit, grill, and even watch TV outside (yep, ran a cable out there too!)
Outside, we have a completely fenced-in backyard with about 80% of that surrounded by 20-30 foot tall pine trees for additional privacy. There's a children's playground (which can be removed upon request) as well as a 12' by 16' artifical putting green that I built last fall.
We have a chimney in the living room, but don't use it too often (due to two curious cats and two curious kids). The living room also has a beautiful trey ceiling. There's a small storage shed added to the back of the house. It's tiny (about 7' by 8'), but perfect for my little workshop. Of course, it could be use for storage or whatever you need!
The roof has been recently redone (within the last 6-8 years) and our heat pump was replaced in 2006, so odds are there the BIG expenses will be kept to a minimum for the house for several more years.
If you agree to the price we have listed, we would be willing to cover up to $5,000 in closing costs AND are willing to part with various appliances at your request. For more information on the home, feel free to contact me anytime.
