is a town located in Hawkins County, Tennessee. As of the 2005 estimate, the town had a total population of 5,500. It is part of the Kingsport–Bristol (TN)–Bristol (VA) Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region.
The population of Mount Carmel, Church Hill and surrounding area is well over 30,000 and is the fastest growing area in upper East Tennessee.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 6.8 square miles (17.7 km²), of which, 6.8 square miles (17.7 km²) of it is land and 0.15% is water.
