is an incorporated city completely surrounded by San Antonio, Texas, U.S. in Bexar County. As of the 2000 census, the city's population was 7,319. However, its immediate proximity to San Antonio causes it to appear as part of much larger San Antonio. Alamo Heights' immediate neighbors include the cities of Olmos Park and Terrell Hills. The Tri-cities (as Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills and Olmos Park are frequently referred to) all are served by the Alamo Heights Independent School District. Alamo Quarry Market Shopping Center, Quarry Village, Lincoln Heights Shopping Center, H-E-B's Central Market, North Star Mall, Witte Museum, San Antonio Zoo, the Japanese Tea Gardens, and the Botanical Gardens can be found in or near Alamo Heights.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.9 square miles (4.8 km²), all of it land.
