Quanah is a city in and the county seat of Hardeman County, Texas, United States, 192 miles (309 km) northwest of Fort Worth. In 1900, 1,651 people lived in Quanah (pronounced KWAN UH); and in 1910, 3,127 resided there. The population was 3,022 at the 2000 census. It is named for Quanah Parker, the last Comanche chief.
