is a city in and the county seat of Hardeman County, Texas, United States, 192 miles (309 km) northwest of Fort Worth. In 1900, 1,651 people lived in Quanah (pronounced KWAN UH); and in 1910, 3,127 resided there. The population was 3,022 at the 2000 census. It is named for Quanah Parker, the last Comanche chief.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.0 km²), all of it land.
