is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas within Fort Bend County and is part of the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown Metropolitan Area. The population was 24,043 at the 2000 census. A census estimate from July 2006 places the population at 31,846.
Rosenberg is named after Henry von Rosenberg who migrated from Switzerland to the United States in 1843. He was the first president of the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad.
