is a town in Greene County, Virginia, United States. The population was 476 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Greene County. The name is from Robert Stanard, a benefactor who donated land for public use. It is part of the Charlottesville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²), all of it land.
Stanardsville is at the junction of U.S. Route 33 and State Highway 230.
