is a village in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Wausau, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 12,079 at the 2000 census. The village is served by the D.C. Everest School District which is named after David Clark Everest (a major paper industrialist of Marathon County).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 21.3 square miles (55.2 km²), of which, 21.3 square miles (55.2 km²) of it is land and 0.0 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.14%) is water.
