One key tip he gives is to know the market. This means making sure you research other similar homes in the area so that you can set a realistic price
. He then recommends that you stage
the home appropriately and advertise. The best way to advertise is to make sure the home is on the local multiple listing service (MLS
). Typically there is a one-time flat fee to list your home.
He also urges sellers to be open to paying a buyer’s agent a commission – this gives that agent an incentive to show your home. If you agree to this, you still save half the commission costs.
